  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni or rotini pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth or water
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and diced onion. Cook until beef is browned and onions are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in garlic, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the beef mixture. Stir to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
