This Cheesy Kielbasa Rice and Broccoli Skillet is a one-pan wonder packed with smoked kielbasa, tender broccoli, and cheesy rice.   • 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (steamed or fresh)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes.
  • Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet, sautéing until softened, about 2 minutes.
  • Stir in broccoli and chicken broth, cooking for another 3–4 minutes until broccoli is tender.
  • Add cooked rice, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix everything together and cook until heated through.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using).
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, cover the skillet, and let it melt for 2–3 minutes.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute kielbasa with smoked sausage or chicken sausage.
  • If using fresh broccoli, steam it slightly before adding to the skillet.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick!
