This Country Fried Pork Chops recipe delivers perfectly crispy, golden pork chops with a seasoned breading, pan-fried to perfection. A classic Southern dish that’s simple, flavorful, and perfect for any weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops (1/2 to 3/4 inch thick)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • In a shallow dish, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Dredge each pork chop in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and return to the flour mixture, pressing to coat well.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 145°F).
  • Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, gravy, or a side of green beans for a complete meal.
  • For a spicier kick, add more cayenne or hot sauce to the egg mixture.
