Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme (or 1 tsp dried thyme)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops on both sides until browned (about 3 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in heavy cream, sour cream, chicken broth, mustard, and thyme. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Place pork chops in a baking dish, pour the creamy sauce over them, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until the pork chops are cooked through (internal temperature of 145°F).
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add mushrooms or onions to the sauce.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles to soak up the sauce.
