Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz medium pasta shells
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook the beef:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and diced onion, cooking for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add garlic and seasonings:
Stir in minced garlic, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Make the sauce:
Stir in the tomato sauce and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Add the cream and cheese:
Stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese, cooking for 2-3 minutes until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Combine pasta and sauce:
Add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet and stir to coat them evenly in the creamy beef sauce.
  • Serve hot:
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately with a side of garlic bread or a simple salad.
