This no-bake trifle is an easy and elegant dessert, perfect for special occasions or dinner parties. The combination of Irish cream and chocolate makes it a decadent treat for any cheesecake lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (or homemade chocolate cake)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Bailey's Irish Cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for ganache)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

  • Prepare the chocolate cake according to package instructions or your preferred homemade recipe. Let it cool, then crumble into pieces.
  • In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add Bailey's Irish Cream and mix well.
  • Fold in whipped cream to the cream cheese mixture to create a light and fluffy cheesecake layer.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate chips and heavy cream for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth to make a chocolate ganache.
  • To assemble the trifle, layer crumbled chocolate cake at the bottom of a trifle bowl, followed by a layer of Bailey's cheesecake, and then drizzle chocolate ganache.
  • Repeat the layers until the trifle bowl is full. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
  • Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace Bailey’s with Irish cream-flavored coffee creamer.
  • Ensure the cake is fully cooled before assembling to avoid melting the cheesecake layer.
  • You can use store-bought cake for convenience.
