This beef stir-fry with noodles and sticky sauce is a perfect combination of tender beef, fresh veggies, and a sweet-savory sauce. A quick and easy meal that’s better than takeout!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225g) egg noodles

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 cup broccoli florets

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.

  • In a bowl, mix beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch; let marinate for 10 minutes.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and water.

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the beef until browned, then remove.

  • Add the remaining oil, garlic, and ginger; sauté until fragrant.

  • Toss in bell pepper and broccoli; stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

  • Return beef to the pan and pour in the sauce; cook until thickened.

  • Add the noodles, tossing everything together.

 

  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot!

Notes

  • Swap beef for chicken or tofu for a different variation.

  • Adjust spice level by adding red pepper flakes or sriracha.

 

  • Use rice noodles or udon for variety.
