  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced into strips
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp all-purpose flour (optional for thickening)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season beef strips with salt and pepper, then sear in the skillet until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
  4. Add the flour, stir for 1 minute, then pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream. Return the beef strips to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve the beef stroganoff over cooked egg noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.
