Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
2 large eggs
¾ cup whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
1 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Oil for frying
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
Toss chopped apples with lemon juice and fold into the batter.
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Mix powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze, then drizzle over fritters.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use firm apples for the best texture.
Adjust glaze consistency by adding more milk or sugar.
Best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in an oven at 300°F.
