  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, rice, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. If using, fold in the frozen peas and carrots for added veggies.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  5. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
