  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for frying

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pound the chicken breasts to even thickness. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and dredge in a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Place the fried chicken on a baking sheet. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with shredded mozzarella.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
