2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter, melted
For the cinnamon swirl:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
In a separate bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the batter and swirl with a knife.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While the cake bakes, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create the glaze.
Drizzle glaze over the warm cake and serve.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use whole milk.
