These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-ups are a delightful twist on classic French toast, filled with cinnamon-sugar goodness and coated in a golden, buttery crust. Perfect for a quick and easy breakfast or brunch treat!

  • 8 slices of white bread, crusts removed
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (for coating)

 

  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  • Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin.
  • Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter; spread over bread slices.
  • Roll up each slice tightly and set aside.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
  • Dip roll-ups in the egg mixture, coating all sides.
  • Cook roll-ups in the skillet, turning until golden brown on all sides.
  • Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon, then roll warm roll-ups in the mixture.

 

  • Serve warm with maple syrup.

  • Use day-old bread for better absorption.
  • Try adding cream cheese or Nutella for a fun variation.
  • Best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven.
