  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (15 oz) corn, drained
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and diced onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are softened, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, corn, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, then arrange frozen tater tots in an even layer on top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
  • Let the casserole cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle cooked bacon bits over the cheese layer before baking.
  • Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
