Crispy Spicy Salmon Bites are bite-sized salmon pieces coated in a bold, flavorful spice mix, fried or air-fried to golden perfection. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or protein-packed meal!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon, skin removed, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch or all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying (or spray for air frying)

For the Spicy Sauce (Optional):

  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Prep the Salmon: Pat salmon dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Coat the Salmon: Dredge in cornstarch, dip in beaten egg, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  • Fry or Air-Fry:
    • Frying: Heat oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry salmon bites for 2-3 minutes per side until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
    • Air-Frying: Spray with oil and air-fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway.
  • Make the Spicy Sauce: Mix mayo, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  • Serve: Drizzle sauce over the salmon bites or serve on the side. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne for more or less spice.
  • Panko breadcrumbs give extra crispiness, but regular breadcrumbs work too.
  • Serve with rice, salad, or as a taco filling!
