  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes.
  • In a bowl, whisk together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, chicken broth, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and bring to a simmer. Cook for 8-10 minutes until the sauce reduces slightly.
