Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Reduce heat to medium and add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Stir well until the sauce thickens.
  • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce coats the chicken.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

Notes

  • You can substitute sun-dried tomatoes with cherry tomatoes for a fresher taste.
  • Adjust the consistency of the sauce by adding more chicken broth or cream as needed.
