These Garlic Butter Steak Bites are juicy, flavorful pieces of steak seared to perfection and coated in a rich garlic butter sauce. Ready in just 15 minutes, they’re perfect for a quick dinner, appetizer, or served over rice or potatoes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak:
Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sear the steak bites:
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak cubes in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches). Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the garlic butter sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
  4. Toss the steak bites:
Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce for 1-2 minutes until well coated.
  5. Serve hot:
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately. Enjoy over rice, potatoes, or with a side of vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of lemon juice or Worcestershire sauce to the garlic butter.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies for a complete meal.
