These Halloween deviled eggs are a spooky and fun addition to your holiday table. Classic deviled eggs are transformed into creepy treats with colorful yolk fillings and eerie decorations like edible spiders, eyeballs, and more. They’re perfect for Halloween parties and will delight both kids and adults with their festive, haunting appearance and savory flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • ½ tsp vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Black olives (for spiders or eyes)
  • Red or green food coloring (optional)
  • Paprika (for garnish)
  • Chives (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Hard-boil the eggs: Place eggs in a pot of water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Cool in an ice bath and peel.
  • Cut eggs in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks.
  • In a bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Add food coloring to the yolk mixture, if desired.
  • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  • Create spooky designs: Use black olive slices to make spider bodies and legs, or cut olives into round slices to create eyes.
  • Garnish with paprika or chives for extra spooky flair.
  • Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For a creepier effect, use food-safe edible eyes or colored pimento-stuffed olives.
  • You can add hot sauce or sriracha to the yolk mixture for an extra "devilish" kick.
  • If you want a green filling, try adding mashed avocado or green food coloring to the yolk mixture.
