  • 1 large French or Italian baguette
  • 4 slices turkey or chicken deli meat
  • 4 slices beef salami
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup banana peppers, drained
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and slightly hollow out the top half to make room for the filling.
  • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  • Spread a generous amount of dressing on both halves of the bread.
  • Layer the bottom half of the bread with turkey or chicken deli slices, beef salami, and provolone cheese.
  • Top with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices, and banana peppers.
  • Close the sandwich with the top half of the baguette.
