Million Dollar Lasagna is the ultimate comfort food, featuring layers of rich meat sauce, creamy cheese filling, and perfectly cooked pasta. This indulgent dish is a family favorite, packed with flavors that make it taste like a million bucks!

  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef, sausage, onion, and garlic until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Add marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, egg, and ½ cup mozzarella cheese.
  • Layer ⅓ of the meat sauce in the baking dish, followed by 4 lasagna noodles, then half the cheese mixture. Repeat layers.
  • Top with remaining meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

  • Use oven-ready lasagna noodles for a quicker version.
  • Let the lasagna rest before slicing to help it hold its shape.
  • Substitute cottage cheese with more ricotta for a creamier texture.
