This one-pan creamy parmesan chicken & rice recipe is a quick, easy, and flavorful meal, featuring tender chicken, creamy rice, and parmesan cheese. Perfect for busy weeknights!

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika.
  • Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant. Add rice and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  • Return chicken breasts to the skillet, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 20-25 minutes until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

  • Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
