Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf is a hearty dish blending juicy ground beef, sautéed peppers, onions, and melty provolone cheese, creating a comforting twist on the iconic sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, sauté diced onions and bell peppers until softened.
  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and the sautéed veggies.
  • Place half the mixture in a loaf pan, create a groove, and add shredded provolone cheese. Cover with the remaining meat mixture.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use caramelized onions.
  • Substitute provolone with American or cheddar cheese if preferred.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted veggies.
