Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti or noodles of choice
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water and drain.
  • In a large pan, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Stir in the cooked pasta, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using). Toss to combine.
  • If the noodles seem dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen them.
  • Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Use any type of pasta you prefer, such as linguine, fettuccine, or angel hair.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red chili flakes or squeeze fresh lemon juice over the noodles.
  • Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
