This Salted Caramel Apple Pie recipe features buttery pie crust filled with tender, spiced apples, drizzled with homemade salted caramel sauce. A delightful dessert for any occasion, combining the sweet and salty flavors that make it irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6-7 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups salted caramel sauce
  • Pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the pie crust and line the pie dish with the bottom crust.
  • In a bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, salt, and lemon juice. Toss until apples are evenly coated.
  • Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  • Drizzle 1 cup of salted caramel sauce over the apples.
  • Place the top crust over the filling, crimp the edges, and cut a few slits for venting.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the crust is golden and the apples are tender.
  • Cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce.

Notes

  • Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for balanced flavor (Granny Smith and Honeycrisp are great options).
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
