12 oz linguine or spaghetti
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1 minute.
Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
