Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Elbow macaroni (or any short pasta, cooked)
  • Onion (chopped)
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Canned diced tomatoes
  • Tomato sauce
  • Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • Olive oil
  • Italian seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes and tomato sauce, simmer for 5 minutes to combine flavors.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta and the beef mixture. Stir to mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
