Enjoy a refreshing glass of Southern Fresh Peach Sweet Tea made with ripe peaches and classic black tea. This southern-inspired drink blends sweet, juicy peach flavors with rich tea for the perfect summer refreshment. Ideal for picnics, barbecues, and lazy afternoons.
4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
6 cups water
4 black tea bags
1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
Ice cubes
Fresh mint for garnish (optional)
In a medium saucepan, combine sliced peaches and 2 cups of water. Simmer for 10 minutes until peaches are soft.
Use a spoon or masher to crush the peaches slightly. Strain the mixture to extract juice and discard solids.
In a separate pot, boil 4 cups of water. Remove from heat and steep tea bags for 5-7 minutes.
Remove tea bags and stir in sugar until dissolved.
Combine peach juice and sweetened tea in a pitcher. Chill until cold.
Serve over ice and garnish with mint if desired.
For stronger peach flavor, let the tea infuse with some peach slices in the fridge.
Use honey or agave as a natural sweetener alternative.
Can be made ahead and stored for up to 3 days.
