Ingredients

Scale
  • For the White Chocolate Cake:
    • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1/2 cup whole milk
    • 4 oz white chocolate, melted
  • For the Strawberry Swirl:
    • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
    • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
    • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • For the White Chocolate Glaze (Optional):
    • 4 oz white chocolate, chopped
    • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Prepare the Strawberry Swirl:
    • In a small saucepan, cook the chopped strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice over medium heat until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
    • Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • Make the White Chocolate Cake:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan or line with parchment paper.
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
    • In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
    • Mix in the melted white chocolate.
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Create the Swirl:
    • Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Spoon dollops of the strawberry sauce over the batter, then gently swirl it with a knife or toothpick.
    • Pour the remaining cake batter on top and repeat with more strawberry sauce, swirling it for a marble effect.
  • Bake the Cake:
    • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Make the White Chocolate Glaze (Optional):
    • Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it begins to simmer.
    • Pour the hot cream over the chopped white chocolate in a bowl and let sit for 1 minute. Stir until smooth.
    • Pour the glaze over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
    • Slice and serve the Strawberry Swirled White Chocolate Cake. Store leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

  • If you prefer a stronger strawberry flavor, add extra strawberry sauce between layers.
  • For best results, use high-quality white chocolate.
  • You can also garnish with fresh strawberries on top of the cake for a beautiful presentation.
