Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups alfredo sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add ground beef or sausage and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer the cooked spaghetti. Pour alfredo sauce over the pasta and spread evenly.
  • Top with the meat sauce mixture and spread it evenly over the alfredo-coated spaghetti.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes or fresh basil to the meat sauce.
  • You can use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated for easy meals.
