Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
  8. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
  • You can use mini chocolate chips or a mix of milk and dark chocolate for added variety.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
