This creamy salmon pasta is a perfect blend of flaky salmon, al dente pasta, and a rich, garlicky parmesan cream sauce. A quick and delicious meal!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 2 salmon fillets (skinless, boneless)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese (grated)
  • ½ cup chicken broth (or pasta water)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook salmon for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and flaky. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream, chicken broth, and parmesan cheese. Stir and simmer until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add lemon juice and red pepper flakes, then return cooked pasta to the pan. Toss to coat.
  7. Flake the salmon and gently mix it into the pasta.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use smoked salmon for a richer flavor.
  • Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.

  • Add spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra freshness.
