Ingredients

Scale
  • For the dough:

    • 4 cups all-purpose flour

    • 1 packet active dry yeast

    • 1 cup warm milk

    • 1/3 cup sugar

    • 1/3 cup butter, melted

    • 1 egg

    • 1 tsp salt

  • For the filling:

    • 3 cups diced peaches (fresh or canned, drained)

    • 1/2 cup brown sugar

    • 2 tsp cinnamon

    • 2 tbsp cornstarch

    • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • For the glaze:

    • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

    • 2-3 tbsp milk

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes. Add melted butter, egg, and salt. Gradually mix in flour and knead until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.

  2. Make the filling: In a saucepan, combine peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Let cool.

  3. Assemble rolls: Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread peach filling evenly. Roll up tightly and cut into 12 slices.

  4. Second rise: Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.

  5. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

  6. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute frozen peaches if fresh are not available.

  • Add chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.

  • Best served warm, but can be reheated.
