2 lbs ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet.
Spread a thin layer of ketchup over the top.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add diced bell peppers or grated carrots.
